Macau University of Science and Technology

The Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST, Chinese: 澳門科技大學) is a private multi-disciplinary university in Taipa, Macau, and it has the largest student body of any higher education institution in the territory.澳门科技大学（中文全名澳門科技大學，简称 MUST）是位于澳门氹仔的一所私立综合性大学，也是全澳在校学生人数最多的高等学府。

Founded in 2000, it was established on the initiative of Ho Hau Wah, Chui Sai On and the entrepreneur Liu Chak Wan, and it now offers programmes at bachelor, master and doctoral levels that are mostly taught in English.该校创办于 2000 年，由何厚铧、崔世安与企业家廖泽云等人发起，现开设学士、硕士与博士各层次课程，授课语言以英语为主。

History

• In 1999 the idea of founding the university was developed in Macau by Ho Hau Wah, then Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Chui Sai On, then Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, and the entrepreneur Liu Chak Wan.1999 年，时任澳门特别行政区行政长官何厚铧、社会文化司司长崔世安与企业家廖泽云等人在澳门萌生创办该校的构想。

• On 31 March 2000 the Macau University of Science and Technology held its founding press conference and set up its first faculties, covering information technology, management and administration, law and Chinese medicine, with Ho Hau Wah as honorary chancellor.2000 年 3 月 31 日，澳门科技大学举行成立新闻发布会，设立资讯科技学院、行政与管理学院、法学院与中医药学院，并由何厚铧担任荣誉校监。
