History

• The journal was founded in 1974 as Landscape Planning, with Arnold E. Weddle as its founding editor该刊 1974 年以 Landscape Planning 之名创刊，创始主编为 Arnold E. Weddle。^[1]
• It took its present title in 1986 when it merged with the journal Urban Ecology该刊 1986 年与 Urban Ecology 合并后启用现名。
• It absorbed Reclamation and Revegetation Research in 1988, further broadening its remit该刊 1988 年又并入 Reclamation and Revegetation Research，进一步拓宽了范围。
• It has been published by Elsevier throughout and now appears monthly该刊始终由 Elsevier 出版，现为月刊。

Editors

• The journal has three co-editors-in-chief, namely Christian Albert of Leibniz University Hannover in Germany, Iryna Dronova of the University of California, Berkeley in the United States and Weiqi Zhou of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences该刊有三位共同主编：德国莱布尼茨汉诺威大学的 Christian Albert、美国加州大学伯克利分校的 Iryna Dronova，以及中国科学院生态环境研究中心的周伟奇。
