Kuwait University is a public university in Kuwait City and the first public institution of higher education and research in the State of Kuwait, known in Arabic as جامعة الكويت and carrying the short forms KU and Kuniv in its own institutional use.科威特大学是位于科威特城的一所公立大学，也是科威特国第一所公立高等教育与科研机构，阿拉伯语校名为 جامعة الكويت，校方文件与网址同时使用 KU 与 Kuniv 两个简称。
