King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is a public research university in Dhahran in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, established on 23 September 1963 by royal decree as the College of Petroleum and Minerals and given its present name in honour of King Fahd in 1986.法赫德国王石油与矿产大学（King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals，缩写 KFUPM）是沙特阿拉伯东部省宰赫兰的一所公立研究型大学，1963 年 9 月 23 日依王室法令以「石油与矿产学院」之名创办，1986 年为纪念法赫德国王改用现名。

History
