King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM, Arabic: جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن) is a public research university in Dhahran in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, and it is one of the country's leading institutions for science, engineering and management.沙特国王石油矿产大学（英文：King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals，简称 KFUPM；阿拉伯文：جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن）是位于沙特阿拉伯东部省宰赫兰的公立研究型大学，也是该国理工与管理领域最重要的学府之一。

History

• King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals was established by Royal Decree on 5 Jumada al-Awwal 1383, corresponding to 23 September 1963, to supply trained professionals for the Kingdom's newly developed oil and mineral industries.沙特国王石油矿产大学依据 1383 年 5 月 5 日（公历 1963 年 9 月 23 日）的王室敕令创办，旨在为王国新发展的石油与矿产工业培养专业人才。
