Journal of Systems Science and Complexity

Journal of Systems Science and Complexity is a bimonthly journal of systems science and complexity published by Springer for the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It began in 1988 as an English-language edition and took its present title in 2001. The journal publishes mathematical work on complex systems, control and operations research, and its 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 1.9.《系统科学与复杂性学报》是一份系统科学与复杂性领域的双月刊，由 Springer 代表中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院出版。该刊 1988 年以英文版形式创刊，2001 年改用现名，刊名中的复杂性一词指向它对复杂系统研究的长期关注。刊物发表复杂系统，控制与运筹方面的数学工作，2025 年影响因子为 1.9。

Scope

• The aims page describes the journal as a home for high-quality papers on the mathematical theories, methodologies and applications of systems science and complexity science.宗旨页把该刊定位为系统科学与复杂性科学的数学理论，方法与应用方面高质量论文的园地，三个层面并列，并不要求论文偏向其中某一端。

• Fundamental research into complex systems and complexity is named as the kind of work the editors most want to encourage.对复杂系统与复杂性本身的基础研究，被点名为编辑部最希望鼓励的一类工作，这一点在刊名的排序上也能看出来。

• Cross-disciplinary approaches are welcomed when they bring out mathematical methods shared by natural, artificial and social systems.跨学科路径受到欢迎，前提是它能揭示自然系统，人工系统与社会系统共有的数学方法，而不是把不同领域的材料简单并置。

History

• The volume numbering starts in 1988, when an English-language edition of the academy's systems science journal was launched in Beijing.刊物的卷号从 1988 年算起，那一年英文版在北京创刊，编辑部设在中国科学院系统科学研究所。

• For its first thirteen volumes that edition carried the title Systems Science and Mathematical Sciences and was issued by Science Press.最初的十三卷以 Systems Science and Mathematical Sciences 为名，由科学出版社出版，内容与中文版并不重复。

• In January 2001 the title became Journal of Systems Science and Complexity and the current ISSN 1009-6124 was assigned.2001 年 1 月改用现名，现行 ISSN 1009-6124 也在此时启用，卷号则从上一年的第 13 卷顺延为第 14 卷。

• The new title opened with volume 14, and a fresh editorial board was assembled for the relaunch.新刊名从第 14 卷开始，改版时组建了新的编委会，刊物的学科重心也在这一时期向复杂性研究靠拢。

• Springer took over publication in 2006, and the publisher's online archive begins with volume 19 of that year.Springer 于 2006 年接手出版，出版方的电子存档从当年第 19 卷开始，此前的纸本卷期只能从旧刊途径查找。

• The journal belongs to the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, formed in 1998 from several institutes of the academy, the Institute of Systems Science among them.期刊归属中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院，该院 1998 年由院内数家研究所合并而成，系统科学研究所是其中之一，刊物的编辑力量也随合并集中到该院。

Editors

• The two editors-in-chief are Jie Chen of the Harbin Institute of Technology and Xiaoshan Gao of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science.现任主编为（Jie Chen）与（Xiaoshan Gao），前者任职于哈尔滨工业大学，后者任职于中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院。

• Chen works on control science and Gao on mathematics, which matches the two wings of the journal's scope.两位主编一位做控制科学，一位做数学，正好对应该刊范围的两翼，分工上也能覆盖控制类与纯数学类稿件。
