The Journal of Systematics and Evolution is an international journal on the systematics, evolution and conservation of biological diversity, sponsored by the Botanical Society of China and the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and published by Wiley, tracing its origins to 1951（Journal of Systematics and Evolution）是关注生物多样性的系统学、演化与保护的国际期刊，由（Botanical Society of China）与中国科学院植物研究所主办、（Wiley）出版，其源头可追溯到 1951 年。

Scope

• The journal publishes innovative research on the phylogeny and evolution of plants, animals and microorganisms该刊发表关于植物、动物与微生物的系统发育与演化的创新研究。
• The scope spans taxonomy, molecular phylogenetics and evolution, and evolutionary genomics收稿范围涵盖分类学、分子系统发育与演化以及演化基因组学。
• It also covers evolutionary developmental biology, evolutionary ecology and biogeography该刊还涵盖演化发育生物学、演化生态学与生物地理学。
• Its goal is to describe, understand, study and conserve biological diversity其宗旨是描述、理解、研究与保护生物多样性。
• It publishes original research and reviews, and became an all-English journal in 2009该刊发表原创研究与综述，自 2009 年起改为全英文出版。

History

• The journal was established in 1951 as Acta Phytotaxonomica该刊 1951 年以（Acta Phytotaxonomica）之名创办。
• In 1954 it was renamed Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica, and it took its present name in 20081954 年更名为（Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica），2008 年更为现名。
• It has been published with Wiley-Blackwell since 2009 and became an all-English journal the same year该刊自 2009 年起由（Wiley-Blackwell）出版，同年改为全英文刊。
• It appears bimonthly and had a 2025 impact factor of 3.2该刊为双月刊，2025 年影响因子为 3.2。

Editors

• The co-editors-in-chief are Hongzhi Kong of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hong Ma of Pennsylvania State University现任共同主编为中国科学院植物研究所的 Hongzhi Kong 与（Pennsylvania State University）的 Hong Ma。
