History

• The opening editorial was published on 20 November 2018 and the first volume appeared in 2019 under founding editor-in-chief John Irvine of the University of St Andrews.创刊社论于 2018 年 11 月 20 日发表，第 1 卷于 2019 年出版，创刊主编为圣安德鲁斯大学的（John Irvine）。
• The journal was conceived as an open access title, and every article has been published under a CC BY licence from the outset.本刊自始即以开放获取为定位，所有文章均采用（CC BY）许可出版。
• Article publication charges fully fund the journal, which carries no subscription charges, and transformative agreements let authors at some institutions publish without paying an APC.刊物无订阅收费，全部成本由文章处理费支撑；参与转化协议的机构作者可免交（APC）。
• Members of the Institute of Physics receive a 25 percent discount on the APC, and authors based in India and Indonesia are eligible for a 40 percent discount.英国物理学会会员可享（APC）七五折优惠，印度与印尼作者可申请六折优惠。

Editors
