Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology

Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology is the official international publication of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers, and it is co-published with Springer Nature from Seoul, the copyright being held by the society and the publisher together.《机械科学与技术》是韩国机械工程师学会的官方国际刊物，与 Springer Nature 在首尔共同出版，版权由学会与出版方共有。

Founded in 1987 as the society's English-language journal, it covers the whole spectrum of mechanical engineering and reached an impact factor of 2.2 with a five-year figure of 2.0 in the 2025 edition of the journal citation report.该刊于 1987 年作为该学会的英文刊物创刊，涵盖机械工程的整个领域，在 2025 年版期刊引证报告中影响因子为 2.2，五年影响因子为 2.0。

Scope

• The stated aim is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work that contributes to the understanding of mechanical engineering and of the disciplines related to it.该刊自陈的宗旨是为原创性工作提供国际发表与传播的平台，此类工作须有助于理解机械工程以及与之相关的学科。

History

• The society behind the journal was founded in 1945 and has grown into one of the larger technical societies in Korea, with more than sixteen thousand members.该刊背后的学会成立于 1945 年，如今发展为韩国规模居前的技术学会，会员逾一万六千人。

• The society also publishes a monthly journal in Korean, and the English-language title was set up beside it as the counterpart for an international readership.该学会还发行一本韩文月刊，这份英文刊物最初正是为国际读者而与它并行设立。

• The first issue appeared in 1987, and the journal carried a title taken from the society for the ten volumes that ran to 1996, appearing twice a year at first and becoming a quarterly in 1993.创刊号在 1987 年出现，此后的十卷一直以取自该学会的名称为刊名，至 1996 年为止，起初一年两期，1993 年起改为季刊。

Editors

• Gil Ho Yoon is editor-in-chief, and he is listed with Hanyang University in Seoul.主编是（Gil Ho Yoon），编委页把他列在首尔的汉阳大学。
