Scope

• The journal covers all aspects of both foundations of computer and its practical applications, with special emphasis on recent trends related to cutting-edge research within the domain.本刊覆盖计算机基础及其实际应用的所有方面，特别关注本领域前沿研究的最新趋势。

History

• The journal was founded in 1993 as an Arabic-language annual issued by King Saud University in Riyadh, with a title meaning the Journal of King Saud University for Computer and Information Sciences.本刊 1993 年由沙特国王大学在利雅得创办，初为阿拉伯文年刊，刊名意为沙特国王大学计算机与信息科学学报。
• The English edition began in 1996 with Volume 8, continuing the volume numbering, and Elsevier in Amsterdam published the journal on behalf of King Saud University from then until 2023.英文版自 1996 年第 8 卷起出版并延续卷号，此后至 2023 年由阿姆斯特丹的（Elsevier）代表沙特国王大学出版。
• Publication frequency rose from annual to two issues a year in 2011, quarterly in 2014 and about ten issues a year from 2020, and the journal is now issued monthly.出版频率由年刊逐步提高：2011 年起每年 2 期，2014 年起改为季刊，2020 年起每年约 10 期，现为月刊。

• The Editor-in-Chief is Nasser-Eddine Rikli, Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University, whose research covers performance analysis of wired and wireless computer networks, quality of service for multimedia traffic and queueing modeling.主编为沙特国王大学计算机与信息科学学院计算机工程系教授 Nasser-Eddine Rikli，研究方向涵盖有线与无线计算机网络的性能分析、多媒体流量的服务质量提供以及排队建模。
