Journal of Integrative Agriculture

Journal of Integrative Agriculture is a monthly open access journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies, founded in 2002 as Agricultural Sciences in China and renamed in 2008, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 5.7.《农业科学学报》（Journal of Integrative Agriculture）由中国农业科学院与中国农学会主办，2002 年以（Agricultural Sciences in China）之名创刊，2008 年改用现名，为月刊且完全开放获取，2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.7。

Scope

• Crop science covers breeding and sustainable production, crop genetics and genomics, gene discovery, molecular physiology, cultivation and farming systems, and the use of artificial intelligence in those areas.作物学方向涵盖育种与可持续生产、作物遗传与基因组学、基因发掘、分子生理、栽培与耕作制度，以及人工智能在上述领域的应用。
• Horticulture deals with the genetics, breeding, germplasm, cultivation, physiology and biochemistry of major vegetable and fruit crops.园艺方向处理主要蔬菜与果树作物的遗传、育种、种质资源、栽培、生理与生物化学。
• Plant protection spans plant pathology, biological control, plant immunity and disease resistance, plant viruses, weed science and agricultural entomology.植物保护涵盖植物病理学、生物防治、植物免疫与抗病性、植物病毒、杂草科学以及农业昆虫学。
• Animal science and veterinary medicine include genetics and breeding, nutrition and metabolism, reproduction, forage science, and basic, preventive and clinical veterinary work.动物科学与兽医方向包括遗传育种、营养与代谢、繁殖、饲草科学，以及基础、预防与临床兽医。
• Agro-ecosystem and environment takes in plant nutrition and new fertilisers, soil fertility and carbon-nitrogen-phosphorus cycling, farmland pollution and remediation, and long-term field experiments.农业生态与环境方向涉及植物营养与新型肥料、土壤肥力与碳氮磷循环、农田污染与修复，以及长期定位试验。
• Food science concentrates on grain, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, livestock and poultry, from raw material quality to postharvest physiology, deep processing, functional factors and safety testing.食品科学聚焦粮油、果蔬与畜禽产品，从原料品质到采后生理、深加工、功能因子与安全检测。
• Agricultural economics and management, including food economics, environmental economics, policy and farm management, complete the seven subject areas.农业经济与管理，包括食物经济、环境经济、政策与农场管理，构成第七个学科板块。
• Purely descriptive omics studies without mechanistic insight are declared out of scope, and omics data must be accompanied by functional validation.仅作描述性组学分析而缺乏机制阐释的研究被明确排除，组学数据须辅以功能验证。

History

• The journal began in 2002 as Agricultural Sciences in China, a national English-language outlet for Chinese agricultural research.本刊于 2002 年以（Agricultural Sciences in China）之名创办，作为中国农业研究的全国性英文发表平台。
• It took its present title in 2008, the change signalling a shift from a national showcase to an integrative international journal.2008 年改用现名，此举标志着从国内成果展示转向综合性国际期刊。
• Full texts have been hosted on ScienceDirect since 2006, and every paper is published open access on that platform.全文自 2006 年起在（ScienceDirect）平台发布，所有论文均以开放获取方式刊出。
• Clarivate indexed the journal in Science Citation Index Expanded from 2009, one year after it was named an Outstanding Science and Technology Journal of China.（Clarivate）自 2009 年起将本刊收入科学引文索引扩展版，此前一年本刊获评中国杰出科技期刊。
• It has been named China's most internationally influential academic journal for fourteen consecutive years from 2012, and received the China Top Hundred Journals award in 2017.自 2012 年起，本刊连续十四年入选中国最具国际影响力学术期刊，并于 2017 年获中国百强期刊称号。
• The 2025 Journal Impact Factor is 5.7, against 4.4 in 2024 and 4.384 in 2022, and the title ranks 18th of 95 in multidisciplinary agriculture.2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.7，2024 年为 4.4，2022 年为 4.384，在农业综合类 95 种期刊中位列第 18。

Editors

• Hualan Chen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, is editor-in-chief and works on avian influenza.主编（Hualan Chen）为中国农业科学院哈尔滨兽医研究所的中国科学院院士，研究禽流感。
• Kongming Wu, president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and an academician, chairs the editorial board.编委会主任为（Kongming Wu），现任中国农业科学院院长、院士。
• The board numbers close to three hundred scholars, drawn mainly from Chinese agricultural universities and institutes with a minority of overseas members.编委会由近三百名学者组成，主要来自中国农业院校与研究所，海外成员占少数。
• Section editors mirror the seven subject areas, so that each field has its own handling editor within the central editorial office.各学科编辑与七个板块一一对应，使每一领域在中心编辑部内都有专属处理编辑。
• Review is single-blind: the managing editor and a section editor screen every submission, and suitable papers go to at least two independent referees.评审采用单盲方式：每篇投稿先由执行编辑与学科编辑初筛，合适者送至少两名独立审稿人。
