History

• The first issue was published in March 1974 by Blackwell Scientific, with a broad initial remit spanning biology, geography and palaeontology首期于 1974 年 3 月由（Blackwell Scientific）出版，最初范围涵盖生物学、地理学与古生物学。
• Its founding editor was David Watts of the University of Hull, joined in 1978 by John Flenley, who served as sole editor from 1980 to 1987创始主编为（University of Hull）的 David Watts，John Flenley 于 1978 年加入，并在 1980 至 1987 年担任唯一主编。
