Jilin University

Jilin University (JLU) is a national key comprehensive university in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province in northeast China, and is directly administered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.吉林大学（简称吉大）是中国东北吉林省省会长春市的全国重点综合性大学，由中华人民共和国教育部直属。

It was founded in 1946 as the Northeast College of Administration in Harbin, was renamed Jilin University in 1958 after the historian Guo Moruo inscribed its name, and reached its present scale through the 2000 merger of five institutions and the 2004 absorption of the PLA University of Military Logistics.学校 1946 年创办于哈尔滨，前身是东北行政学院，1958 年经郭沫若题写校名后改称吉林大学，并于 2000 年五校合并、2004 年并入中国人民解放军军需大学后形成今日规模。

History

• On 24 September 1946 the Northeast Bureau of the Communist Party of China approved the creation of the Northeast College of Administration, which opened in Harbin on 5 October 1946 under the Northeast Administrative Committee, with Lin Feng as its first president and Wei Zhenwu as dean of studies.1946 年 9 月 24 日中共中央东北局批准创建东北行政学院；学院于同年 10 月 5 日在东北解放区首府哈尔滨成立，由东北行政委员会直接领导，林枫兼任院长、魏震五兼任院务主任。
