History

• The journal was launched in 2019 by Elsevier as the open access companion to the Journal of Hepatology, and the first volume appeared in that year该刊于 2019 年由爱思唯尔创办，作为《肝病学杂志》的开放获取姊妹刊，第一卷同年出版。
• It was established to provide a gold open access outlet for hepatology research complementary to the subscription Journal of Hepatology, and it has retained the open access model since launch该刊设立的目的是为肝病学研究提供与订阅制《肝病学杂志》互补的金色开放获取出版平台，自创刊起一直沿用开放获取模式。
