History

• The journal was founded in July 1920 as Archives of Surgery, and its founding editorial was written by William J. Mayo该刊 1920 年 7 月以 Archives of Surgery 之名创办，创刊社论由 William J. Mayo 执笔。
• It was renamed JAMA Surgery in January 2013该刊于 2013 年 1 月更名为 JAMA Surgery。^[1]

Editors
