JAMA Internal Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal of general internal medicine and internal medicine subspecialties published by the American Medical Association, issued monthly with the online edition refreshed each Monday. Scope
The journal's editorial stance takes change in clinical practice as the measure of fit, requiring that research bear directly on the diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive decisions of general internists and subspecialists rather than advancing basic understanding alone. It publishes clinical research, reviews and commentary, and carries a clinical review and education section that explains methodology to its clinical readership. The American Medical Association levies no author fees, and research articles become free to read online twelve months after publication, with access opened to institutions in developing countries through the World Health Organization's HINARI programme. History
- Founding (1908): the journal was founded in 1908 under the name Archives of Internal Medicine, published subsequently as A.M.A. Archives of Internal Medicine and again as Archives of Internal Medicine, and has carried its present name since 2013.创刊（1908年）： 本刊创刊于 1908 年，创刊刊名为《内科学文献》，此后依次以《美国医学会内科学文献》与《内科学文献》为名出版，2013 年起改用现名。[1]
- Within the AMA family: the journal has been published inside the American Medical Association's journal system since its founding, sharing editorial and submission platforms with the family's other specialty titles. Editors
The journal operates under a single editor who heads the editorial office within the American Medical Association's journal family. The board comprises two deputy editors, eight associate editors, two assistant editors and two statistical editors, and manuscripts are submitted through the society's unified author system.
