International Islamic University Malaysia

The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is a public university headquartered in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia, and sponsored by eight governments together with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.马来西亚国际伊斯兰大学（International Islamic University Malaysia，缩写 IIUM）是总部位于马来西亚雪兰莪州鹅唛的公立大学，由八个国家的政府与伊斯兰合作组织共同资助。

Established on 23 May 1983 and founded upon Islamic principles, it integrates Islamic values into all disciplines and teaches in English and Arabic.该校于 1983 年 5 月 23 日创办，以伊斯兰原则为立校之本，将伊斯兰价值观融入各学科，并以英语与阿拉伯语授课。

History

• Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad conceived the idea of an international institution of Islamic education in 1982, at a meeting of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation leaders on the Islamisation of knowledge.总理马哈蒂尔·穆罕默德于 1982 年在伊斯兰合作组织领导人关于「知识伊斯兰化」的会议上，提出了创办一所国际伊斯兰教育机构的设想。
