Interdisciplinary Materials

Interdisciplinary Materials is a bimonthly open access journal co-published by Wuhan University of Technology and Wiley, founded in 2022 and dedicated to interdisciplinary materials science, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 22.5《交叉学科材料》是由武汉理工大学（Wuhan University of Technology）与（Wiley）联合出版的双月刊开放获取期刊，2022 年创办，致力于交叉学科材料科学，2025 年影响因子为 22.5。

Scope

• It bridges materials science with other disciplines such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanics, biology, energy, environment, information and engineering该刊将材料科学与物理、化学、数学、力学、生物、能源、环境、信息与工程等学科相连接。
• It reports cross-field and cutting-edge research achievements that combine materials science with adjacent fields该刊报道材料科学与相邻领域交叉融合的前沿研究成果。

History

• It was co-founded by Wuhan University of Technology and Wiley, and its first issue appeared in January 2022该刊由武汉理工大学（Wuhan University of Technology）与（Wiley）联合创办，创刊号于 2022 年 1 月出版。^[1]
• It is described as the world's first high-level journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary frontiers between materials science and other disciplines该刊被介绍为全球首本聚焦材料科学与其他学科交叉前沿的高水平期刊。
• In June 2022 it was indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals2022 年 6 月，该刊被（Directory of Open Access Journals，DOAJ）收录。
• In September 2022 it was selected for the High-Starting-Point New Journal programme of China's Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan2022 年 9 月，该刊入选中国科技期刊卓越行动计划高起点新刊项目。
• In March 2024 it obtained its journal publication licence from China's National Press and Publication Administration, and in June 2024 it received its first impact factor of 24.52024 年 3 月，该刊获得中国国家新闻出版署颁发的期刊出版许可证，并于 2024 年 6 月获得首个影响因子 24.5。

Editors

• The Editors-in-Chief are Qingjie Zhang and Zhengyi Fu, both based at Wuhan University of Technology主编为张清杰与傅正义，两人均任职于武汉理工大学（Wuhan University of Technology）。
• Qingjie Zhang is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a former president of Wuhan University of Technology张清杰是中国科学院院士，曾任武汉理工大学校长。
• Zhengyi Fu is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and directs the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing傅正义是中国工程院院士，任材料复合新技术全国重点实验室主任。
• The deputy editors include Jon Binner of the University of Birmingham, Peter Fratzl of the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, and Lei Jiang of the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry副编辑包括（University of Birmingham）的 Jon Binner、（Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces）的 Peter Fratzl，以及（Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry）的江雷。
