Intelligent Computing

Intelligent Computing is an open access journal launched in January 2022 and co-founded by Zhejiang Lab and the American Association for the Advancement of Science under the Science Partner Journal program, covering computing methodologies for machine intelligence, AI-based computational technology and intelligence-driven scientific discovery, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 6.4.Intelligent Computing（《智能计算》）是 2022 年 1 月创刊的开放获取期刊，由之江实验室与美国科学促进会（AAAS）在《科学》合作期刊计划下共同创办，聚焦面向机器智能的计算方法、基于人工智能的计算技术以及智能驱动的科学发现，2025 年影响因子为 6.4。

Scope

• The journal aims to build an open communication and cooperation platform for global science and technology professionals in the field of intelligent computing, presenting the latest research outcomes and technological breakthroughs in order to boost the development of intelligent computing science and technology and enhance human well-being.本刊使命是为全球智能计算领域的科技工作者搭建开放的交流与合作平台，呈现最新研究成果与技术突破，推动智能计算科学与技术进步，增进人类福祉。
• Its first research field is computing methodologies for machine intelligence, spanning new computing theories, architectures and models, new computing devices, hardware and software, and new computing paradigms such as quantum computing, photonic computing, bio-computing, bio-inspired computing and brain-like computing.第一方向为面向机器智能的计算方法，涵盖新计算理论、架构与模型，新计算器件、硬件与软件，以及量子计算、光计算、生物计算、仿生计算与类脑计算等新范式。
• It further covers new computing systems such as intelligent supercomputing, heterogeneous computing clusters, domain-specific computing and wide-area collaborative computing, together with computation-driven machine intelligence, cognitive computing, collaborative human-computer computing and swarm intelligence.本刊亦关注智能超算、异构计算集群、领域专用计算与广域协同计算等新计算系统，以及计算驱动的机器智能、认知计算、协同人机计算与群体智能。
• Its second research field is computational technology achieved through AI-based methodologies, including collaboration and reconfiguration of computational hardware and software, intelligent understanding and decomposition of computing tasks, intelligent scheduling and adaptation of computing resources, trusted computing and privacy computing, and ubiquitous computing and transparent computing.第二方向为基于人工智能方法论的计算技术，包括计算硬件与软件的协同与重构、计算任务的智能理解与分解、计算资源的智能调度与适配、可信计算与隐私计算，以及普适计算与透明计算。
• Its third research field is scientific findings achieved through machine intelligence, data and computing methodologies, including intelligent computational materials science, intelligent computational biology, intelligent computational astronomy, intelligent computational pharmacy and intelligent computational social science.第三方向为以机器智能、数据与计算方法取得的科学发现，包括智能计算材料科学、智能计算生物学、智能计算天文学、智能计算药学与智能计算社会科学。
• The journal publishes original research, reviews, perspectives, and software and database articles, spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational science, quantum computing, computational imaging, intelligent communications and other emerging interdisciplinary areas.本刊发表原创研究、综述、观点以及软件与数据库论文，报道范围覆盖人工智能、机器学习、计算科学、量子计算、计算成像、智能通信等新兴交叉领域。
• All content is published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution licence on a continuous basis, freely available to readers upon publication, and Zhejiang Lab holds an exclusive licence to the content while authors retain copyright.全部内容以知识共享署名许可（CC BY）连续出版并开放获取，一经发表即可免费阅读；之江实验室持有内容专有许可，作者保留著作权。

History

• On November 16, 2021, Zhejiang Lab and the American Association for the Advancement of Science signed a co-founding agreement by video link between Hangzhou and Washington at the Intelligent Computing Innovation Forum held during the 2021 World Young Scientist Summit, with Zhejiang Lab director Zhu Shiqiang and Science family publisher Bill Moran signing for the two sides.2021 年 11 月 16 日，之江实验室与美国科学促进会（AAAS）在 2021 世界青年科学家峰会系列活动之智能计算创新论坛上，以杭州、华盛顿两地视频方式签署联合办刊协议，之江实验室主任朱世强与《科学》系列期刊出版人 Bill Moran 代表双方签约。
• The journal was officially launched in January 2022 and opened for submission, and the founding Editors-in-Chief Shiqiang Zhu and Ninghui Sun published the inaugural editorial Intelligent Computing – A Flagship Journal towards the New Frontier of Computing and Intelligence.本刊于 2022 年 1 月正式创刊并开放投稿，创刊共同主编朱世强与孙凝晖发表发刊词，阐述期刊定位与发展愿景。^[1]
• The founding Editors-in-Chief were Shiqiang Zhu, president of Zhejiang Lab, and Ninghui Sun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and academic director of the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.创刊共同主编为之江实验室主任朱世强，与中国工程院院士、中国科学院计算技术研究所学术所长孙凝晖。
• The journal publishes one volume per year on a continuous basis since 2022, with articles released as soon as production is complete, and it has been indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, Scopus, EI Compendex and the Directory of Open Access Journals.本刊自 2022 年起以连续出版方式每年推出一卷，论文制作完成即上线；已被新兴科学引文索引（ESCI）、Scopus、EI Compendex 与开放获取期刊目录（DOAJ）收录。
• Its Scopus CiteScore reached 9.0, placing the journal in the first quartile of Scopus subject categories, and its Journal Impact Factor was 3.7 in 2024 before rising to 6.4 in 2025.本刊 Scopus CiteScore 达 9.0，居 Scopus 学科分类 Q1 分区；影响因子 2024 年为 3.7，2025 年升至 6.4。
• In the 2025 Journal Citation Reports the journal ranks in the first quartile of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence at 48 of 210, Computer Science, Interdisciplinary Applications at 40 of 185, and Computer Science, Theory and Methods at 14 of 146.在 2025 年期刊引证报告中，本刊于计算机科学人工智能学科列第 48/210 名、计算机科学跨学科应用列第 40/185 名、计算机科学理论与方法列第 14/146 名，均居第一区。

• In 2026 Philip S. Yu and Osmar R. Zaiane were appointed as the new Editors-in-Chief, succeeding the founding editors and leading the journal into a new phase of international growth.2026 年，Philip S. Yu 与 Osmar R. Zaiane 出任新任共同主编，接替创刊主编，引领本刊进入国际化发展新阶段。
• Philip S. Yu is Distinguished Professor and Wexler Chair in Information Technology at the University of Illinois Chicago and a Fellow of the ACM and the IEEE, with research interests including artificial intelligence, data mining, machine learning, database systems and privacy-preserving data analytics.Philip S. Yu 为伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校杰出教授、Wexler 信息技术讲席教授，ACM 与 IEEE 会士，研究方向包括人工智能、数据挖掘、机器学习、数据库系统与隐私保护数据分析。
• Osmar R. Zaiane is Professor of Computing Science at the University of Alberta in Canada and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, with research focusing on machine learning, data mining and artificial intelligence applications in healthcare and education.Osmar R. Zaiane 为加拿大阿尔伯塔大学计算科学教授、加拿大工程院院士，研究方向聚焦机器学习、数据挖掘及其在医疗与教育领域的人工智能应用。
• The editorial board comprises 30 members selected from active researchers who have made significant and well-recognized contributions to the field, coming from 11 countries including the United States, Canada, China, Italy, Australia, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Japan, France and Germany.编委会由 30 名成员组成，遴选自在相关领域做出重要且公认贡献的一线学者，来自美国、加拿大、中国、意大利、澳大利亚、瑞典、西班牙、葡萄牙、日本、法国与德国等 11 个国家。
