IEEE Photonics Technology Letters is a semi-monthly letters journal published by IEEE on behalf of the IEEE Photonics Society, launched in January 1989 to disseminate rapid engineering-oriented advances in photonics and electro-optics, with a 2025 impact factor of 2.4《IEEE 光子学技术快报》（IEEE Photonics Technology Letters）是 IEEE 代表 IEEE Photonics Society 出版的半月刊快报型期刊，1989 年一月创刊，快速传播光子学与光电领域的工程导向进展，2025 年影响因子为 2.4。

Scope

• It addresses all aspects of the IEEE Photonics Society field of interest with emphasis on photonic and lightwave components and applications, laser physics and systems and laser and electro-optics technology涵盖 IEEE Photonics Society 专业领域的各个方面，尤重光子与光波器件及其应用、激光物理与系统以及激光与光电技术。

History

• The journal was approved for launch by the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society and its first issue, volume 1, number 1, appeared in January 1989该刊由 IEEE 激光与电光学会批准创办，第一卷第一期于 1989 年一月出版。
• It was conceived as a rapid-publication letters journal for electro-optics, filling a gap left by other rapid-publication journals for engineering-oriented optoelectronics papers该刊构想为光电领域的快速发表快报刊，填补其它快报刊在工程导向光电子学论文方面的空白。
• By 1991 it had become a primary source of the latest information in optoelectronics, publishing 1156 pages that year至 1991 年该刊已成为光电子学最新信息的主要来源，当年发表 1156 页。
