IEEE Network is a bimonthly peer-reviewed magazine of the IEEE Communications Society, published by IEEE and subtitled The Magazine of Global Internetworking, launched in 1987 and carrying a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 8.8《IEEE 网络》（IEEE Network）是（IEEE Communications Society）的双月刊杂志，由（IEEE）出版，1987 年创刊，以（The Magazine of Global Internetworking）为副题，2025 年影响因子为 8.8。

Scope

• IEEE Network publishes surveys and tutorials on computer communications, networking and internetworking that are practical, comprehensible to the non-specialist and useful to the working engineer该刊发表关于计算机通信、组网与互联的综述与教程，讲求实用、能为非专家所理解并对从业工程师有用。
• Its coverage spans all layers of the protocol stack, from physical transmission to application-level quality of service其覆盖范围贯穿协议栈各层，自物理传输直到应用层服务质量。
• Recurring subjects are network protocols and architecture, protocol design and validation, communications software, and network control and management反复出现的主题有网络协议与体系结构、协议设计与验证、通信软件以及网络控制与管理。

History

• IEEE Network was launched by the IEEE Communications Society in 1987, and the IEEE Xplore archive of the title extends back to volume 1该刊由（IEEE Communications Society）于 1987 年创办，（IEEE Xplore）的过刊档案可回溯至第 1 卷。^[1]
• It appeared quarterly in its opening volumes and has been published bimonthly, six issues a year, since January 1989初创各卷为季刊，自 1989 年 1 月起改为双月刊，每年 6 期。
• Early issues carried tutorial papers on then-emerging internetworking practice, such as the simple gateway monitoring protocol that foreshadowed later network management standards早期各期曾刊载当时新兴互联实践的教程性论文，如被视为其后网络管理标准前身的简单网关监控协议。^[2]
• As a magazine rather than a research journal it favours survey and tutorial articles and does not normally publish highly theoretical manuscripts of the kind suited to transactions and letters作为杂志而非研究期刊，该刊偏重综述与教程文章，一般不发适合学报与快报的高度理论化稿件。
• It adopted a hybrid open access model, and the open access article processing charge is 2995 US dollars for articles submitted in 2026该刊采用混合开放获取模式，2026 年投稿的开放获取文章处理费为 2995 美元。
• Its Journal Impact Factor moved from 10.693 in 2021 and 10.294 in 2022 to 6.3 in 2024 and 8.8 in 2025其影响因子由 2021 年的 10.693 与 2022 年的 10.294，变为 2024 年的 6.3 与 2025 年的 8.8。

Editors

• Jiming Chen, a professor in the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University who works on network optimisation and control, cyber security and industrial IoT, became editor-in-chief in July 2024主编（Jiming Chen）为（Zhejiang University）控制科学与工程学院教授，研究网络优化与控制、网络安全与工业物联网，2024 年 7 月就任。

• Articles may be submitted through three tracks, namely Series, Special Issues and Open Call, and special issues cap their acceptance rate at 30 per cent with six to twelve articles per issue稿件可经三条通道投稿，即系列、特辑与公开征稿；特辑的接受率上限为 30%，每期收录 6 至 12 篇。
• Every manuscript needs at least three reviews and is handled by editors who must select geographically and institutionally diverse reviewers, with a recommendation expected within about 35 to 40 days每篇稿件至少需 3 份评审，经办编辑须挑选地域与机构上多元的评审人，并争取在约 35 至 40 天内给出推荐结论。
• Submitted articles must be written in an accessible tutorial style, may not exceed 4500 words, fifteen references or six figures and tables combined, and mathematical notation is discouraged with no more than three simple equations投稿须以通俗教程笔法撰写，正文不超过 4500 词、参考文献不超过 15 条、图与表合计不超过 6 个，不鼓励使用数学符号，最多允许 3 个简单公式。
