Scope

• The scope of the journal is the field of interest of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, which encompasses all aspects of science, engineering and technology that address research, development and operations pertaining to all bodies of water.本刊的收稿范围即（IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society）的学科领域，涵盖面向各类水体之研究、开发与运行的科学、工程与技术的所有方面。

History

• The journal was founded in 1976, and Volume OE-1 Number 1 appeared in September of that year under the IEEE Council on Oceanic Engineering.本刊于 1976 年创刊，第 1 卷第 1 期同年 9 月问世，由（IEEE Council on Oceanic Engineering）主持发行。^[1]
• The sponsoring body began as the Oceanography Coordinating Committee, became the Council of Oceanic Engineering and turned into a full IEEE Society in 1983, taking the present name IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society.其主持机构最初为海洋学协调委员会，后改为海洋工程理事会，1983 年升格为正式的 IEEE 学会，即今（IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society）。
