Horticulture Research

Horticulture Research is a fully open-access horticultural journal of Nanjing Agricultural University published by Oxford University Press, launched in 2014 and covering all major horticultural plants and disciplines, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 9.5《园艺研究》（Horticulture Research）是（Nanjing Agricultural University）主办、由（Oxford University Press）出版的完全开放获取园艺学刊物，2014 年创刊，覆盖主要园艺作物与各园艺学科，2025 年影响因子为 9.5。

Scope

• It is committed to publishing original research articles, reviews, perspectives, comments, correspondence articles and letters to the editor related to all major horticultural plants and disciplines该刊致力于发表与主要园艺作物及各园艺学科相关的原创研究论文、综述、观点、评论、通讯文章与致编辑信。^[1]
• The disciplines covered include biotechnology, breeding, cellular and molecular biology, evolution, genetics, inter-species interactions, physiology, and the origination and domestication of crops涵盖学科包括生物技术、育种、细胞与分子生物学、演化、遗传学、种间互作、生理学以及作物的起源与驯化。
• As a fully open-access journal it makes research freely available worldwide and removes subscription barriers to maximize readership, visibility and impact作为完全开放获取刊物，该刊使研究向全球免费开放，消除订阅壁垒以最大化读者覆盖、可见度与影响力。
• Open access charges are waived for authors from the developing countries and regions listed by the publisher对于出版方名单所列发展中国家与地区的作者，开放获取费用予以免除。
• Besides regular research articles and reviews it publishes perspectives, comments, correspondence and dedication reviews that unite leading experts in plant and horticultural sciences除常规研究论文与综述外，该刊还发表观点、评论、通讯以及汇集植物与园艺科学领域领军人物的致敬综述。
• It is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded and holds the first quartile in the Horticulture category with a rank of 2 out of 45 titles该刊被（SCIE）收录，在园艺学类别位居第一四分位、于 45 种刊中排名第 2 位。

History

• Horticulture Research was launched in January 2014 as an English-language journal of Nanjing Agricultural University in cooperation with Nature Publishing Group《园艺研究》于 2014 年 1 月由（Nanjing Agricultural University）与（Nature Publishing Group）合作创办，为英文期刊。
• Its first papers appeared online at nature.com/hortres其首批论文在（nature.com/hortres）在线发表。
• It was accepted into the Science Citation Index Expanded in January 20172017 年 1 月该刊被（SCIE）数据库收录。
• It was selected for the D-class project of the China Science and Technology Journal International Influence Enhancement Plan in 2018 and for the Leading Journal project of the Excellence Action Plan for China STM Journals in 2019该刊 2018 年入选中国科技期刊国际影响力提升计划（D）类项目，2019 年入选中国科技期刊卓越行动计划领军期刊项目。
• The journal later moved from Nature Publishing Group to Oxford University Press and now appears on the Oxford Academic platform该刊后由（Nature Publishing Group）转入（Oxford University Press），现挂载于（Oxford Academic）平台。
• Its impact factor rose from 6.793 in 2021 and 7.291 in 2022 to 8.5 in 2024 and 9.5 in 2025其影响因子由 2021 年的 6.793 与 2022 年的 7.291 升至 2024 年的 8.5 与 2025 年的 9.5。

Editors

• The editor-in-chief is Zong-Ming (Max) Cheng, who is a joint professor at the College of Horticulture of Nanjing Agricultural University and in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Tennessee现任主编为（Zong-Ming (Max) Cheng），他是（Nanjing Agricultural University）园艺学院与（University of Tennessee）植物科学系的联合教授。
• Cheng received his bachelor degree in fruit science from Nanjing Agricultural University in 1982 and his master and doctoral degrees from Cornell University（Cheng）1982 年于（Nanjing Agricultural University）获果树学学士学位，其后于（Cornell University）获硕士与博士学位。
• The executive editors are Steven van Nocker, a professor in the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University, and Cai-Zhong Jiang, an adjunct professor at the University of California, Davis and a research scientist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service执行编辑为（Steven van Nocker）与（Cai-Zhong Jiang）；（van Nocker）是（Michigan State University）园艺系教授，（Jiang）是（University of California）戴维斯分校兼任教授与（USDA Agricultural Research Service）研究员。
• Van Nocker works on plant developmental genetics and on traits important for production including flowering and the chromatin regulation of gene expression（van Nocker）从事植物发育遗传学以及开花、基因表达的染色质调控等对生产重要的性状研究。
• Jiang works on functional genomics, plant transcription factors, plant biotechnology and postharvest biology（Jiang）从事功能基因组学、植物转录因子、植物生物技术以及采后生物学研究。
