Heart Rhythm

Heart Rhythm is published by Elsevier on behalf of the Heart Rhythm Society and is also the official journal of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society and the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society. Founded in May 2004, it concentrates on the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, appears monthly, and had a 2025 impact factor of 7.0.《心律》（''Heart Rhythm''''）是爱思唯尔代表美国心律学会出版的刊物，2004 年 5 月创刊，同时为心脏电生理学会与儿童及先天性电生理学会的官方刊物。该刊以心律失常的机制、诊断与治疗为主，现为月刊，二〇二五年影响因子为 7.0。

Scope

The journal's editorial stance is that electrophysiological mechanism and clinical management matter equally: however deep the mechanistic work, a paper has to show what it means for diagnosis, risk stratification or treatment of patients with arrhythmia. The journal is hybrid and the gold open access article processing charge is 4,790 US dollars. The publisher reports two days to first decision, seventeen days to a decision after review, 60 days to acceptance and six days from acceptance to online, the first-decision figure including editorial screening. The publisher and an in-journal editorial conflict on the time to first decision: the metrics page gives two days while the editorial states an average of about ten days over nearly twenty years. History

• Founding (2004): the journal was founded in May 2004 with Douglas P. Zipes as founding editor, and the first editorial in the opening issue was titled Welcome to Heart Rhythm. It has used its present name since founding, with no predecessor title, so the founding year is also the year the present name took effect.创刊（2004年）： 2004 年 5 月创刊，创刊主编为（Douglas P. Zipes），创刊号首篇社论题为《欢迎来到心律》；创刊即用现名，无前身刊名，创刊年即现名启用年。^[2]

• Sister titles: HeartRhythm Case Reports was created in 2015 and Heart Rhythm O2 in April 2020, carrying case reports and open access material respectively.姊妹刊： 2015 年创设《心律病例报告》，2020 年 4 月创设（Heart Rhythm O2），两刊分别承载病例报告与开放获取方向的稿件。

• Journal development (2024): from 2024 the journal moved to full-colour printing, introduced an Art Rhythm cover and added sections such as Iconic Figures and Top Stories. The editorship changed hands in the same year.刊物建设（2024年）： 2024 年起本刊改为全彩印刷，启用（Art Rhythm）封面，并新增标志性人物与焦点报道等栏目；同年主编完成交接。

• Metrics and indexing: the impact factor is 7.0 and the CiteScore 6.6 on the publisher's official journal insights page. The journal is indexed in Scopus, MEDLINE and the Science Citation Index Expanded.指标与收录： 影响因子 7.0、引用分数 6.6（出版方官方期刊指标页）；本刊被 Scopus、MEDLINE 与科学引文索引扩展版收录。

Editors

The journal has had only three editors in twenty years, the first two serving about a decade each. The present editor comes from Tel Aviv and took up the post in January 2024.本刊创刊二十年仅有三任主编，前两位任期各约十年；现任主编来自以色列特拉维夫，2024 年 1 月就任。^[3]

• Present editor-in-chief: Sami Viskin of the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine took up the post in January 2024.现任主编： （Sami Viskin）供职于特拉维夫（Sourasky）医学中心与特拉维夫大学医学院，2024 年 1 月就任。
