Guangzhou Medical University is a municipal public medical university in Guangzhou, Guangdong, affiliated with the municipal government and listed in the Double First-Class Construction.广州医科大学是位于广东省广州市的一所市属公办医科大学，由广州市政府举办，并入选国家双一流建设高校。

It traces its origin to four Guangzhou medical assistant schools founded in 1951 and merged in 1953, was established as Guangzhou Medical College in 1958 and took its present name in 2013.学校源于 1951 年相继创办的四所广州市医士学校，1953 年四校合并，1958 年升格为广州医学院，2013 年更名为广州医科大学。

History

• In 1951 the first, second, third and fourth Guangzhou medical assistant schools were founded in succession.1951 年，广州市第一医士学校、第二医士学校、第三医士学校与第四医士学校相继创建。
