Green Chemical Engineering

Green Chemical Engineering is a quarterly open access journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsored by its Institute of Process Engineering, launched in September 2020 with KeAi and Elsevier, edited by academician Zhang Suojiang, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 11.9（Green Chemical Engineering）（《绿色化学工程》）是由中国科学院主管、中国科学院过程工程研究所主办，（KeAi）与（Elsevier）托管、2020 年 9 月创刊的季刊开放获取期刊，由张锁江院士担任主编，2025 年影响因子为 11.9。

Scope

• It focuses on cutting-edge questions in green chemistry, green chemical engineering and their interdisciplinary fields该刊聚焦绿色化学、绿色化工及其交叉领域的前沿问题。
• It addresses the development requirements of low-carbon, clean and energy-saving chemical processes其紧扣化工过程低碳化、清洁化与节能化的发展要求。
• It publishes original research and papers that lead to major technological change其重点刊登原始创新论文与引领技术重大变革的文章。
• It covers green catalysis and green energy conversion processes其覆盖绿色催化与绿色能源转化过程。
• It also covers green separation processes including ionic liquid technologies其亦覆盖绿色分离过程，包括离子液体技术。
• It aims to build an international platform for sustainable chemical engineering该刊致力于构建可持续化学工程领域的国际学术平台。

History

• It was selected into the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan as a high-starting-point new journal in 2019该刊于 2019 年入选中国科技期刊卓越行动计划高起点新刊项目。
• It was formally launched in September 2020 and unveiled in November 2020 at a national conference on ionic liquids and green processes该刊于 2020 年 9 月正式创刊发行，并于同年 11 月在全国离子液体与绿色过程学术会议上举行新刊发布仪式。
• It was accepted into ESCI on 20 September 2023 with coverage back to its first issue该刊于 2023 年 9 月 20 日被（ESCI）收录，并回溯收录自创刊号起的全部文章。
• It received its first Journal Impact Factor in 2024该刊于 2024 年获得首个影响因子。
• Its 2025 Journal Impact Factor reached 11.9, ranking in the first quartile of chemical engineering其 2025 年影响因子达 11.9，位居化学工程类别 Q1 区。
