Scope

• The journal publishes original research papers and critical reviews on grain and oil processing theory, on the development and application of grain and oil products, and on the technologies behind them该刊刊载粮油加工理论、粮油产品开发与应用及其支撑技术方面的原创研究论文与评论性综述。
• It covers the bioactivity of grain and oil materials and their bioactive components, including the isolation, structure and functional evaluation of such compounds该刊覆盖粮油原料及其活性成分的生物活性，包括活性成分的分离、结构解析与功能评价。
• Grain and oil food safety and nutrition form a core area, taking in contaminant control, nutritional quality and the health effects of cereal and edible oil products粮油食品安全与营养是核心方向，涉及污染物控制、营养品质以及谷物与食用油脂产品的健康效应。
• Food quality detection and analysis are also within scope, with methods for compositional analysis, quality monitoring and authentication of grain and oil products食品品质检测与分析同样在范围内，包括粮油产品的成分分析、品质监测与真伪鉴别方法。
• The journal promotes high-value utilization of grain and oil resources, such as the valorization of by-products and the development of functional ingredients该刊推动粮油资源的高值化利用，例如副产物的资源化与功能配料的开发。
• Its declared remit spans the grain and oil food engineering, food science and food safety fields and is framed as an international platform from post-harvest grain handling to food consumption其公开定位横跨粮油食品工程、食品科学与食品安全领域，并定位为从粮食收获后处理到食品消费全链条的国际学术交流平台。

History

• The journal was approved by China's press and publication administration and began publication in January 2018, with Henan University of Technology as its sponsoring institution该刊经国家新闻出版广电总局批准，于 2018 年 1 月正式出版，主办单位为河南工业大学。
• It was created as the first English-language food industry journal in China to hold a domestic continuous publication number, registered as CN 41-1447/TS该刊是国内第一本拥有国内统一连续出版物号的食品工业类英文期刊，国内统一连续出版物号为（CN 41-1447/TS）。
• Publishing services are provided by KeAi, the joint publishing venture of Elsevier and China Science Publishing & Media, and the journal is distributed through ScienceDirect出版服务由科爱提供，即（Elsevier）与（中国科技出版传媒股份有限公司）的合资出版机构，刊物通过（ScienceDirect）发行。
• At launch the journal appeared quarterly in print and online, and all accepted articles have been made permanently and freely available on ScienceDirect from the outset创刊时该刊以印刷版与网络版按季出版，且自创刊起所有录用文章即在（ScienceDirect）上永久免费开放。
• It was accepted into Scopus during its early years and later indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, Ei Compendex, FSTA, Biological Abstracts and BIOSIS Previews该刊在创刊后的数年内被（Scopus）收录，之后又相继被（ESCI）、（Ei Compendex）、（FSTA）、（Biological Abstracts）与（BIOSIS Previews）等数据库收录。
• The Journal Impact Factor stands at 8.2 in 2025 with a CiteScore of 13.9, a marked rise from the journal's earliest citation reports after ESCI coverage began该刊 2025 年影响因子为 8.2，CiteScore 为 13.9，较自（ESCI）收录后最初几份引证报告有明显上升。

Editors

• The journal is led by co-editors-in-chief Fusheng Chen of Henan University of Technology in China and Xuewei Liu of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore该刊由两位主编共同主持，即中国河南工业大学的陈复生与新加坡南洋理工大学的（Xuewei Liu）。
• Honorary chairmen Ke Bian of Henan University of Technology and Teck-Peng Loh of Nanyang Technological University head the advisory leadership, with Wenxue Zhu as vice chairman顾问领导层由河南工业大学的卞科与南洋理工大学的（Teck-Peng Loh）担任主席，朱文学任副主席。
