Global Sustainability

Global Sustainability is an interdisciplinary open access journal published by Cambridge University Press since 2018 under the eISSN 2059-4798, covering global sustainability science in the context of the Anthropocene with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 8.8 and first quartile standing in environmental sciences, environmental studies and green sustainable science technology《全球可持续发展》（Global Sustainability）是剑桥大学出版社（Cambridge University Press）自 2018 年起出版的跨学科开放获取期刊，电子刊号 2059-4798，聚焦人类世背景下的全球可持续发展科学，2025 年影响因子为 8.8，在环境科学、环境研究与绿色可持续科技三个类别均居第一四分位。

Scope

• The journal defines global sustainability as the conditions under which humans and nature, societies and the biosphere, the world and the Earth co-exist in ways that enable productive harmony, stability and resilience for present and future generations该刊将全球可持续发展定义为人与自然、社会与生物圈、世界与地球共存并实现生产性和谐、稳定与韧性以支撑当代与后代的方式与条件。
• It publishes significant advances in Earth system analysis, integration and modelling, global systems and the world economy, resource use and economic analyses for the Anthropocene, equity governance and behavioural change, social transformations to global sustainability, and theoretical and methodological syntheses该刊刊载地球系统分析、整合与建模、全球系统与世界经济、人类世资源利用与经济分析、公平治理与行为改变、面向全球可持续发展的社会转型以及理论方法综合等方面的重要进展。
• The journal accepts inter- and multi-disciplinary research between social and natural science, and it particularly encourages solutions focused work at the nexus of food, water and energy and pathways to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals该刊接受社会科学与自然科学之间的跨学科与多学科研究，特别鼓励面向粮食、水与能源纽带以及联合国可持续发展目标路径的解决方案导向研究。

History

• The journal was launched in 2018 by Cambridge University Press in partnership with the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University, and the first volume appeared in that year该刊于 2018 年由剑桥大学出版社联合斯德哥尔摩大学的斯德哥尔摩韧性中心创办，第一卷同年出版。
• It was established to provide an open access outlet for sustainability science that integrates natural and social science in the pursuit of sustainable development in the Anthropocene该刊设立的目的是为人类世背景下整合自然科学与社会科学、追求可持续发展的可持续科学提供开放获取出版平台。
• From launch the journal has operated as a gold open access title with an article processing charge and a Creative Commons licence on accepted articles自创刊起该刊即为金色开放获取期刊，收取文章处理费，对录用文章采用知识共享许可。
• The Journal Impact Factor moved from 5.8 in 2024 to 8.8 in 2025, and the journal holds first quartile standing in environmental sciences, environmental studies and green sustainable science technology in the Emerging Sources Citation Index该刊影响因子由 2024 年的 5.8 升至 2025 年的 8.8，在（Emerging Sources Citation Index）的环境科学、环境研究与绿色可持续科技三个类别均居第一四分位。
