Gels is a peer-reviewed, fully open access journal on physical and chemical gel-based materials, published monthly by MDPI in Basel, Switzerland since 2015, and it reported a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 6.4《凝胶》（Gels）是一本聚焦物理与化学凝胶材料的同行评审金色开放获取期刊，由瑞士巴塞尔的 MDPI 自 2015 年起按月出版，2025 年期刊影响因子为 6.4。

Scope

• The journal covers the science and technology of both physical supramolecular and chemical gels made from low-molecular-weight compounds or polymers该刊涵盖由低分子量化合物或高分子构成的物理型（超分子）与化学凝胶的科学与技术。

History

• The inaugural issue of Gels appeared in 2015 and the journal began as a quarterly under founding Editor-in-Chief David Diaz Diaz《凝胶》创刊号于 2015 年问世，创刊初期为季刊，由创刊主编 David Diaz Diaz 主持。
• It entered Scopus, the Emerging Sources Citation Index and the CAS database in its early years and joined the Science Citation Index Expanded from Volume 4 in 2020该刊早期即被 Scopus、新兴来源引文索引与 CAS 数据库收录，并自 2020 年第 4 卷起进入科学引文索引扩展版（SCIE）。
• Gels received its first Journal Impact Factor in 2021 and moved to a monthly schedule in 2022《凝胶》于 2021 年获得首个期刊影响因子，并于 2022 年改为月刊。

• Esmaiel Jabbari, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina, has served as Editor-in-Chief since 2024, joined by co-Editor-in-Chief Chuanliang Feng from 2026南卡罗来纳大学化学工程教授 Esmaiel Jabbari 自 2024 年起担任主编，2026 年起由 Chuanliang Feng 共同担任主编。
• The founding Editor-in-Chief was David Diaz Diaz of the University of La Laguna in Spain, who led the journal from 2015 to 2024创刊主编为西班牙拉古纳大学的 David Diaz Diaz，执掌该刊自 2015 年至 2024 年。
