Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (Gastrointest. Endosc.) is published by Elsevier on behalf of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and is the society's official journal. It has used its present name since August 1965, concentrates on endoscopic technique and outcomes research, appears thirteen times a year, and had a 2025 impact factor of 8.0.《胃肠内镜》（Gastrointestinal Endoscopy''''，缩写 Gastrointest. Scope

The journal's editorial stance is that a paper must bear on endoscopic practice itself: however novel the technique, it has to show how it changes endoscopic diagnosis, therapy or quality management. The journal is hybrid and the gold open access article processing charge is 3,450 US dollars. History

• Lineage and present name (1965): the line begins with the Bulletin of Gastroscopy and Esophagoscopy. From volume 8 in August 1961 to volume 11 in May 1965 the title was Bulletin of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the present name took effect from volume 12 in August 1965. Editors

The editor is appointed by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. The present editor comes from the Center for Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at AdventHealth Porter in Denver and took up the post in January 2023.
