History

• The journal was founded in 2014 by Yong-Guan Zhu and Ravi Naidu and began with the combined Volume 1/2 in June and December 2014, according to the Institute of Soil Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences据中国科学院南京土壤研究所报道，该刊由朱永官院士与（Ravi Naidu）教授于 2014 年共同创刊，首卷为 2014 年 6 月与 12 月的合卷（Volume 1/2）。
• It is published by Elsevier from Amsterdam in the Netherlands该刊由（Elsevier）出版，出版地为荷兰阿姆斯特丹。
• From January 2022 the journal became an open access journal, so that authors can make their work immediately, permanently and freely accessible出版社公告称，自 2022 年 1 月起该刊成为开放获取期刊，作者的文章可立即、永久且免费公开。

• The co-editors-in-chief are Fang Wang of the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, who also holds a position at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Duc Long Nghiem of the University of Technology Sydney in Australia共同主编为（Fang Wang）（中国科学院土壤研究所，同时任职于中国科学院大学）与（University of Technology Sydney）的（Duc Long Nghiem）。
• Fang Wang works on soil pollution and remediation, emerging contaminants, antibiotic resistance genes and microplastics, and took up the co-editorship in 2023（Fang Wang）研究土壤污染与修复、新兴污染物、抗生素抗性基因与微塑料，于 2023 年出任共同主编。
