Environmental Research Letters (Environ. Res. Lett.) is a fully open access journal published by IOP Publishing. Scope
The journal's editorial stance is that a paper must address issues needing urgent attention from policymakers: in the founding statement it was to be a meeting point for the research and policy communities concerned with environmental change and management, publishing concise, timely, influential and interdisciplinary work. History
- Founding (2006): volume 1, issue 1 appeared in 2006, covering October to December, published by IOP Publishing. - Frequency: volume 1 contained a single issue刊期沿革： 第 1 卷仅出一期；第 2 至 8 卷（2007 至 2013 年）每年四期，即季刊；第 9 卷（2014 年）起改为每年十二期，并沿用至今；2026 年为第 21 卷。 volumes 2 to 8, from 2007 to 2013, appeared four times a year as a quarterly from volume 9 in 2014 the journal has appeared twelve times a year, and 2026 is volume 21.[3]

Editors
The journal has had only two editors in nearly twenty years, among the most stable successions in the environmental field. The founding editor served eighteen years from the launch, and the present editor comes from the University of Oxford, appointed in 2024.本刊创刊近二十年间仅两任主编，是环境类刊物中主编更替最少的一种；首任主编自创刊起任职十八年，现任主编来自牛津大学，2024 年就任。[4]
