History

• The title began in 2009 as Standards in Genomic Sciences, published by BioMed Central with the electronic ISSN 1944-3277.本刊于 2009 年以《基因组学标准》（Standards in Genomic Sciences）创刊，由（BioMed Central）出版，电子刊号为 1944-3277。
• It was relaunched as Environmental Microbiome in 2020, continuing the volume sequence from volume 15 and adopting the new electronic ISSN 2524-6372.2020 年更名为现名，卷号自第 15 卷接续，并启用新的电子刊号 2524-6372。
• Because the earlier title already held an impact factor, the new journal inherited a citation record and an editorial team shared with Microbiome.由于前身已拥有影响因子，新刊承继了引文记录，并与（Microbiome）共用编辑团队。
