Environmental Development is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by Elsevier in partnership with the Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE), founded in 2012 and devoted to transdisciplinary research on globally relevant environment and development issues, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 4.8《环境与发展》是（Elsevier）与国际环境问题科学委员会（SCOPE）合作出版的季刊同行评审期刊，2012 年创刊，专注具有全球意义的环境与发展议题的超学科研究，2025 年影响因子为 4.8。

Scope

• The journal is the transdisciplinary journal of SCOPE and focuses on research and practices that contribute to globally relevant environment and development issues at local and regional scales本刊是（SCOPE）的超学科期刊，聚焦在地方与区域尺度上有助于全球性环境与发展议题的研究与实践。

History

• Elsevier and SCOPE formalised their partnership to publish the journal in March 2011, and the first issue appeared in 2012 with the support of UNESCO and the United Nations Environment Programme（Elsevier）与（SCOPE）于 2011 年 3 月正式确立合作出版，首期于 2012 年面世，并得到联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）与联合国环境规划署（UNEP）的支持。^[1]
• Theo Beckers of Tilburg University in the Netherlands was the founding Editor-in-Chief, with Lu Yonglong, then SCOPE president, and John P. Giesy of the University of Saskatchewan serving as associate editors荷兰蒂尔堡大学的（Theo Beckers）任创刊主编，时任（SCOPE）主席的吕永龙与萨斯喀彻温大学的（John P. Giesy）任副主编。
• Eleanor Milne of Colorado State University took over in July 2015, and Natarajan Ishwaran became editor in January 2018科罗拉多州立大学的（Eleanor Milne）于 2015 年 7 月接任，（Natarajan Ishwaran）于 2018 年 1 月出任主编。

• The four Editors-in-Chief are G. Fernandez of Rabdan Academy, S. Sarvajayakesavalu of JSS Science and Technology University, A. Stefaniec of the University of Southampton and N.
