History

• The journal was founded in 1965 with the inaugural issue published in August of that year, and more than seven thousand papers have appeared since该刊于 1965 年创刊，首期于当年 8 月出版，迄今已发表超过 7000 篇论文。^[1]
• Mining Science and Technology, an earlier Elsevier title with ISSN 0167-9031, was discontinued in 1991 and incorporated into the journal爱思唯尔早期刊物（Mining Science and Technology）（ISSN 0167-9031）于 1991 年停刊并并入该刊。

• Jia-Jyun Dong of the National Central University in Zhongli, Taiwan, China joined as co-editor-in-chief on 1 January 2025, focusing on site characterization, hazard assessment of landslides and barrier lakes, and hydro-mechanical behaviour of jointed rocks中国台湾桃园中坜（National Central University）的（Jia-Jyun Dong）自 2025 年 1 月 1 日起任共同主编，研究方向为场地表征、滑坡与堰塞湖危险性评估以及节理岩体水力力学行为。
