Engineering

Engineering is an international open-access journal launched by the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2015 and published in cooperation with Elsevier, covering all fields of engineering science and technology, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 12.2.（Engineering）是由（Chinese Academy of Engineering）于 2015 年创办、并与（Elsevier）合作出版的国际开放获取期刊，涵盖工程科学技术各领域，2025 年影响因子为 12.2。

Scope

• It publishes three main sections, namely News & Highlights, Views & Comments and Research.该刊设三大板块：新闻与热点、观点与评论、研究。
• The Research section focuses on creative, breakthrough and leading research across all fields of engineering science and technology.研究板块聚焦工程科学技术领域内具有创造性、突破性与引领性的研究。
• Research articles fall into five categories, namely Reviews, Perspective, Article, Letter and Protocols.研究论文分为五类，即综述、视角、论文、快报与研究方案。
• Each submitted article is reviewed by at least three reviewers of relevant fields and the whole peer-review process takes about 12 weeks.每篇投稿由至少三位相关领域审稿人评审，整个同行评审流程约需 12 周。
• It also considers human and environmental well-being and ethics in engineering development.该刊还关注工程发展中的人类与环境福祉及伦理问题。
• Featured collections have addressed intelligent manufacturing for Industry 4.0, digital twins for smart manufacturing and computer vision for civil infrastructure inspection.重点专题涵盖面向工业 4.0 的智能制造、智能制造的数字孪生与民用基础设施的计算机视觉检测。^[1][2][3]

History

• It was launched in 2015 by the Chinese Academy of Engineering as its flagship engineering journal.该刊由（Chinese Academy of Engineering）于 2015 年创办，为其旗舰工程期刊。
• It is supervised by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and administered by its Center for Strategic Studies together with Higher Education Press.该刊由（Chinese Academy of Engineering）主管，（Center for Strategic Studies）与（Higher Education Press）共同主办。
• It is published monthly in English, and the full text of English articles is translated into Chinese after official publication.该刊以英文月刊出版，英文论文正式出版后全文译为中文。
