Energy and Built Environment is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal published by KeAi Publishing and hosted on ScienceDirect, sponsored by Southwest Jiaotong University, founded in 2020 and devoted to research on built environments and associated energy technologies, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 10.4《能源与建筑环境》（Energy and Built Environment，EBE）是（KeAi Publishing）出版、（ScienceDirect）平台发布的双月刊同行评审期刊，完全开放获取，由（Southwest Jiaotong University）主办，2020 年创立，致力于建筑环境与相关能源技术研究，2025 年影响因子为 10.4。

Scope

• The journal is dedicated to research on built environments and associated energy technologies, covering built environments across diverse spatial scales from the city scale down to the building scale, as well as environments related to transportation hubs and industrial facilities该刊致力于建筑环境与相关能源技术研究，覆盖从城市尺度到建筑尺度的多种空间尺度，并延伸至交通枢纽与工业设施相关环境。
• Its aim is to publish qualified articles on the performance of built environments, environment control technologies and strategies, and energy materials and technologies that are already implemented or have potential for future application in built environments其目标是发表关于建筑环境性能、环境控制技术与策略，以及已在或有望应用于建筑环境的能源材料与技术的高质量论文。

History

• The journal was founded in 2020, and volume 1 issue 1 appeared in January of that year该刊于 2020 年创立，第 1 卷第 1 期于同年 1 月出版。
• It is issued bimonthly, and volume 7 had reached issue 5 by October 2026该刊为双月刊，至 2026 年 10 月已出版至第 7 卷第 5 期。
• The journal is sponsored by Southwest Jiaotong University, founded in 1896 as one of the earliest institutions of higher engineering education in China and known as the cradle of railway engineers该刊由（Southwest Jiaotong University）主办，该校创建于 1896 年，是中国近代最早的高等工程教育机构之一，被誉为中国铁路工程师的摇篮。

Editors

• Yanping Yuan, professor at Southwest Jiaotong University in China, and Fariborz Haghighat, professor at Concordia University in Canada, are the editors-in-chief中国（Southwest Jiaotong University）教授（Yanping Yuan）与加拿大（Concordia University）教授（Fariborz Haghighat）任共同主编。
