EcoMat

EcoMat is a fully open access journal published by Wiley in partnership with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since its first issue in December 2019, devoted to the advanced materials needed for green energy and environment, and it carries a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 11.3（EcoMat）是由（Wiley）与香港理工大学自 2019 年 12 月首期起合作出版的完全开放获取期刊，聚焦绿色能源与环境所需的先进材料，2025 年影响因子为 11.3。

Scope

• Its declared aim is to publish across many disciplines on one shared subject, cutting-edge advanced materials for green energy and environment, and the scope is described as intentionally broad该刊旨在跨学科发表同一主题的成果，即绿色能源与环境的尖端先进材料，官方称其范围刻意保持宽泛。
• Harvesting and conversion of wind, water and solar energy head the list of fields the aims page names官方点名的领域首先是风能、水能与太阳能的收集与转换。

History

• The first issue appeared in December 2019 after The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Wiley founded the title together as an open access flagship for green energy and environment materials首期于 2019 年 12 月出版，该刊由香港理工大学与（Wiley）联合创办，作为绿色能源与环境材料方向的开放获取旗舰刊。
• Its founding editor-in-chief Zijian Zheng said from the outset that he wanted a world-leading materials journal for the field创刊主编（Zijian Zheng）自创刊起即立志把该刊打造为本领域的国际领先材料期刊。
• The journal entered the Emerging Sources Citation Index in June 2021 and was promoted to the Science Citation Index Expanded in December of the same year该刊于 2021 年 6 月入选新兴来源期刊引文索引，同年 12 月升入科学引文索引扩展版。
• Its first Journal Impact Factor, 12.213 for 2022, put the title straight into the first quartile, and the figure then ran 12.6 for 2024 and 11.3 for 2025首个影响因子为 2022 年的 12.213，该刊凭此直入 Q1，其后 2024 年为 12.6，2025 年为 11.3。

Editors

• The editor-in-chief is Zijian Zheng, chair professor of soft materials and devices at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he also leads the Research Institute for Smart Energy主编为（Zijian Zheng），他是香港理工大学软材料与器件讲座教授，并主持该校智能能源研究所。

• At launch the journal presented a deputy editor team of Ximin He of UCLA, SonBinh T.
