Earth System Science Data
Earth System Science Data is an international interdisciplinary open access journal founded in 2009 and published by Copernicus Publications on behalf of the European Geosciences Union, dedicated to original research data and data sets for the Earth system sciences, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 13.6(Earth System Science Data)创刊于 2009 年,由(Copernicus Publications)代表(European Geosciences Union)出版,是刊载地球系统科学原始研究数据与数据集、全文开放获取的国际跨学科期刊,2025 年影响因子为 13.6。
Scope
- It publishes articles on original research data and data sets that further the reuse of high quality data of benefit to Earth system sciences, and its peer review secures that data sets are plausible, of sufficient quality with clearly stated limitations, openly accessible with standard metadata and available from a certified repository in customary non proprietary formats刊载原始研究数据与数据集论文,推动高质量数据的再利用以服务于地球系统科学;同行评审要求数据集合理、质量足够且局限说明清楚、以标准元数据开放获取,并以非专有通行格式存放于经认证的数据仓储。[1][2][3]
- Its sections comprise regular length articles, brief communications such as additions to data sets, commentaries, review articles and special issues设有常规长度论文、数据集补充等简讯、评论、综述以及专刊等栏目。
- Articles in the data section may concern the planning, instrumentation and execution of experiments or the collection of data, while the interpretation of data lies outside the scope of regular articles数据栏目论文可涉及实验或数据采集的规划、仪器与实施,而数据解读不属于常规论文的范围。
- Articles on methods describe nontrivial statistical and other methods used to filter, normalize or convert raw data to primary published data, as well as nontrivial instrumentation or operational methods方法类论文描述用于过滤、归一化或将原始数据转换为一级发布数据的非平凡统计与其他方法,以及非平凡的仪器或操作方法。
- Review articles may compare methods, the relative merits of data sets, their fitness for specific purposes, or how combinations might serve as reference data collections综述可比较方法、数据集的相对优劣、对特定用途的适用性,或组合成为参考数据集合的方式。
- Its two stage publication process posts papers that pass rapid peer review on the discussion forum Earth System Science Data Discussions for interactive public discussion before the final revised papers appear in the journal采用两阶段出版流程,通过快速同行评审的论文先在讨论平台(Earth System Science Data Discussions)公开互动讨论,定稿后再发表于本刊。
- It also offers special issues in which individual papers are published as soon as they are available and linked electronically另设专刊模式,各篇论文一经就绪即行发表并以电子方式相互链接。
History
- It was founded in 2009 and published its first volume in the same year, reaching volume 18 in 2026该刊创立于 2009 年并于同年出版第 1 卷,至 2026 年已达第 18 卷。
