Duy Tan University, in Vietnamese Đại học Duy Tân, is a private research university in Da Nang, Vietnam, founded by a decree of the Prime Minister on 11 November 1994 and the first and largest private multidisciplinary institution in Central Vietnam.维新大学（越南语 Đại học Duy Tân）是越南岘港的一所私立研究型大学，依据总理 1994 年 11 月 11 日的决定设立，是越南中部第一所也是规模最大的私立多学科高校

Its name derives from the Duy Tân modernisation movement of 1906 to 1908, and over its first three decades the university enrolled more than 140,000 doctoral, master's and undergraduate students and produced tens of thousands of graduates.其校名源自 1906 至 1908 年的维新现代化运动；在头三十年间，学校累计招收博士、硕士与本科学生逾 14 万人，并培养了数万名毕业生

Duy Tan appears in international university rankings as the highest-ranked Vietnamese university and in 2019 was awarded the First Class Labour Medal of Vietnam.维新大学在国际大学排名中是排名最高的越南高校，并于 2019 年获颁越南一等劳动勋章

History

• On 15 August 1992 Le Cong Co, Le Phuoc Thuy and Nguyen Thi Loc met to form a committee to campaign for the establishment of a Private University of Central Vietnam, and Le Cong Co was elected to head it.1992 年 8 月 15 日，Le Cong Co、Le Phuoc Thuy 与 Nguyen Thi Loc 会面，成立委员会以推动设立「越南中部私立大学」，Le Cong Co 当选为负责人

• The committee's mission included initiating administrative procedures and preparing legal documents such as the University Development Plan, the University Operation Regulations and the University Personnel Plan.该委员会的任务包括启动行政程序并准备法律文件，如大学发展规划、大学运作章程与大学人员编制计划

• A second task was to set up a University Representative Office and prepare academic facilities for operation once the University Establishment License was officially granted.第二项任务是在大学设立许可正式获批后，设立大学代表处并筹备可投入运作的教学设施
