Dublin City University

Dublin City University, usually abbreviated DCU, is a public university in the north of Dublin in Ireland, created in 1975 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Dublin and raised to university status in 1989.都柏林城市大学（通常缩写为 DCU）是爱尔兰都柏林北部的一所公立大学，1975 年以「都柏林国家高等教育学院」之名创建，1989 年升格为大学。

History

• The institution was established by the Irish government in 1975 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Dublin, to extend degree-level education beyond the existing universities.该机构由爱尔兰政府于 1975 年以「都柏林国家高等教育学院」之名设立，意在把学位层次的教育扩展到既有大学之外。
