Diabetes & Metabolism Journal is the official bimonthly journal of the Korean Diabetes Association, founded in 1972 and issued under its present title since 2011 with the ISSN 2233-6079, covering basic and clinical research on diabetes and metabolism, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 8.2 and a rank of 16 of 198 in endocrinology and metabolism《糖尿病与代谢杂志》（Diabetes & Metabolism Journal）是（Korean Diabetes Association）的官方双月刊，1972 年创刊、2011 年起启用现刊名，刊号 2233-6079，刊载糖尿病与代谢的基础及临床研究，2025 年影响因子为 8.2，在内分泌与代谢类 198 种期刊中列第 16 位。

Scope

• The journal aims to contribute to the cure of and education about diabetes mellitus and to advance diabetology by sharing the latest scientific information among members of the Korean Diabetes Association and other international societies该刊旨在推动糖尿病的治疗与教育，并通过在（Korean Diabetes Association）会员及其他国际学会之间共享最新科学信息来促进糖尿病学的发展。
• It publishes basic and clinical studies focusing on metabolism, epidemiology, pathogenesis, complications and treatments relevant to diabetes mellitus该刊刊载糖尿病相关的代谢、流行病学、发病机制、并发症与治疗等基础与临床研究。
• Articles covering obesity and cardiovascular disease are published as well, reflecting the metabolic continuum around diabetes该刊同样刊载涉及肥胖与心血管疾病的文章，反映围绕糖尿病的代谢连续性。
• The editorial board invites articles from international research and clinical study groups, and publication is determined by the editors and by peer reviewers who are experts in their fields of diabetology编委会面向国际研究与临床研究团队约稿；是否发表由编辑与该领域的糖尿病学专家审稿人共同决定。

History

• The journal was launched in 1972 as the Korean-language journal of the Korean Diabetes Association and appeared under the title The Journal of the Korean Diabetes Association through volume 31 in 2007该刊于 1972 年创刊，为（Korean Diabetes Association）的韩文期刊，以《大韩糖尿病学会志》之名出版至 2007 年第 31 卷。
• From 2008 to 2010 its title was Korean Diabetes Journal, covering volumes 32 to 34, and from 2010 the journal was published in English2008 至 2010 年，该刊更名为（Korean Diabetes Journal），对应第 32 至 34 卷；自 2010 年起改为英文出版。
• In 2011 the journal took its present title, Diabetes & Metabolism Journal, after it was indexed in PubMed Central, and it has been published bimonthly since2011 年，在被（PubMed Central）收录之后，该刊启用现刊名（Diabetes & Metabolism Journal），并自此以双月刊形式出版。
• Issues appear on the first day of January, March, May, July, September and November, and manuscripts are handled through an online submission and peer review system该刊于每年 1 月、3 月、5 月、7 月、9 月与 11 月的 1 日出刊；稿件通过在线投稿与评审系统处理。
