Dankook University

Dankook University (DKU, Korean: 단국대학교) is a private research university with campuses in Yongin and Cheonan, South Korea, established in 1947.檀国大学（Dankook University，简称 DKU；韩语：단국대학교）是位于韩国龙仁市与天安市的一所私立研究型大学，创办于 1947 年。

It was the first four-year private university founded after Korea's liberation in 1945, opening on 3 November 1947 at Nakwon-dong in the Jongno District of Seoul.该校是 1945 年韩国光复后创办的第一所四年制私立大学，1947 年 11 月 3 日在首尔钟路区乐园洞开校。

History

• The school corporation Dankook was approved on 1 November 1947, and the university itself opened on 3 November 1947 at Nakwon-dong in the Jongno District of Seoul.檀国学园法人于 1947 年 11 月 1 日获批设立，大学本部则于 1947 年 11 月 3 日在首尔钟路区乐园洞开校。
• It was founded by Beomjeong Jang Hyeong (1889-1964) and his wife Hyedang Cho Hui-jae (1892-1947), who devoted their fortune to the project.该校由梵亭张炯（1889-1964）与其夫人惠堂赵喜在（1892-1947）创办，二人为办学倾注了家产。
