Current Zoology

Current Zoology is a fully open access, bimonthly, peer-reviewed international journal of zoology published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Zoological Society, founded in 1935 and focusing on ecology, evolution and behaviour, with a 2025 impact factor of 2.1.（Current Zoology）是由牛津大学出版社代表中国科学院动物研究所与中国动物学会出版的全开放获取双月刊国际动物学刊，1935 年创刊，聚焦生态学、演化与行为，2025 年影响因子为 2.1。

Scope

• It publishes review articles and research papers in the fields of ecology, evolution and behaviour.刊载生态学、演化与行为领域的综述文章与研究论文。
• Its coverage spans the ecological, evolutionary and behavioural branches of zoology and their intersections, including population genomics, sexual selection and animal cognition.覆盖动物学的生态学、演化与行为各分支及其交叉领域，包括种群基因组学、性选择与动物认知。

History

• It was founded in 1935 as the Chinese Journal of Zoology, published in Chinese, English, German and French.该刊 1935 年以 Chinese Journal of Zoology 之名创刊，当时以中、英、德、法四种语言刊文。
• After 1950 it was renamed Acta Zoologica Sinica and published in Chinese.1950 年之后，该刊更名为 Acta Zoologica Sinica（《动物学报》）并改用中文出版。
• In 2009, with volume 55, issue 1, it was renamed Current Zoology and switched to publishing in English.2009 年，该刊以第 55 卷第 1 期更名为 Current Zoology 并改用英文出版。^[1]
• It was self-published by its Beijing editorial office from 1935 to 2015, and Oxford University Press has published it on behalf of the editorial office since 2016.1935 至 2015 年由北京编辑部自办，自 2016 年起由牛津大学出版社代表编辑部出版。
