Current Genomics is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to genome science. Founded in 2000 by Bentham Science Publishers, it has been published since 2026 by KeAi, the brand run jointly by Elsevier and China Science Publishing, and has moved to full open access, issuing five to seven numbers a year in recent volumes. The journal positions itself on the latest developments in genomics, with equal attention to systems-biology and computational approaches to human health and disease.《当代基因组学》(''Current Genomics''')是一份聚焦基因组科学的同行评审学术期刊,二〇〇〇年由本特纳姆科学出版社创办,二〇二六年起改由爱思唯尔与科学出版合资的 KeAi 品牌出版并转为完全开放获取,近年每年出刊五至七期。

Scope

Current Genomics sets out to keep its readers abreast of the most important developments in genome science and related fields, welcoming both fundamental mechanism studies and work oriented towards clinical genomics and precision medicine, while on the methodological side it explicitly covers systems biology, modelling and machine learning. Its principal subject areas include:Current Genomics

The journal publishes research papers, full-length and mini-reviews, including proposals for hot-topic collections, as well as opinion pieces, and authors may propose collections themselves. Its 2025 impact factor stands at 4.0, placing it in zone four of biology in the Chinese Academy of Sciences ranking, with both biochemistry and molecular biology and genetics in the second quartile. [1]

History

Editors

The editorial structure changed with the publisher. Under Bentham the journal was edited by Fabio Coppedè as editor-in-chief本刊编辑架构随出版方易主而更替。 under KeAi it runs a co-editor-in-chief arrangement, the two editors being based in the United States and Italy, supported by honorary senior advisors, associate editors and an editorial board of about forty members. The publisher publishes neither an acceptance rate nor a review duration for the title.[6]
