• The journal began publication in 1948 as the Communications on Applied Mathematics, a project of the Courant Institute该刊 1948 年以（Communications on Applied Mathematics）之名创刊，是（Courant Institute）的出版物。
• It adopted its present title, Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, in 1949 and has appeared continuously since该刊 1949 年改用现名（Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics），此后持续出版至今。
