Clinics is an electronic, peer-reviewed journal of general and internal medicine issued by the Faculdade de Medicina and the Hospital das Clínicas of the Universidade de São Paulo, renamed to its present title in 2005, published by Elsevier since 2022, and holding a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 2.4 with a second-quartile place at 94 of 336 titles.《临床》是圣保罗大学医学院及其附属医院的电子同行评审综合内科刊物，2005 年改用现名，2022 年起由 Elsevier 出版，2025 年期刊影响因子为 2.4，在综合与内科类目的 336 种刊物中列第 94 位。

Scope

• The remit follows the institution rather than a single specialty, so the journal takes clinical medicine as it is practised across a teaching hospital, with general and internal medicine as its citation home.取材范围跟着机构走，不限单一专科，教学医院里实践的临床医学都在视野之内，引文归类落在综合与内科。

• Original research in the medical and biomedical sciences forms the core of the journal, and manuscripts are weighed on their findings rather than on the standing of the group that submits them.医学与生物医学的原创研究构成刊物主体，稿件按研究结果衡量，不看投稿团队的资历。

• Review articles stand beside the originals on equal terms, which gives readers a way to map a field before they commit time to its primary literature.综述与原创论文并列，地位相同，读者因而可以先摸清一个领域的轮廓，再决定要不要读原始文献。

History

• The title began in 1946 as the Revista do Hospital das Clínicas, the house journal of the São Paulo teaching hospital, and its first volume carried that name.刊物 1946 年以 Revista do Hospital das Clínicas 之名起步，是圣保罗这家教学医院的院内刊物，第 1 卷就用这个名字。

• Volume numbering has never restarted, and volume 54 covered 1999, which fixes one volume to each year and puts volume 1 in 1946.卷号从未从头再算，第 54 卷对应 1999 年，照此每年出满一卷，第 1 卷落在 1946 年。

• February 2005 brought the new name, when volume 60 opened with issue 1, while the fifty-nine earlier volumes stayed under the hospital's own title.2005 年 2 月新刊名随第 60 卷第 1 期启用，此前 59 卷仍用医院的原名。

• A fresh ISSN, 1807-5932, went to the renamed journal, and the old 0041-8781 stayed with the Revista and its 288 registered records.改名后的刊物取得新刊号 1807-5932，旧号 0041-8781 留在原名之下，连同它的 288 条登记记录一并归旧。

• The National Library of Medicine dates its holdings from volume 60, number 1, and carries the title in MEDLINE, PubMed and PubMed Central from that issue onward.美国国家医学图书馆把馆藏起点定在第 60 卷第 1 期，MEDLINE 与 PubMed 的收录从这一期开始，PubMed Central 同样在列。

• Early digital object identifiers were registered through SciELO under the 10.1590 prefix, a sign that the journal's first online life ran through the Latin American platform.早年数字对象标识经 SciELO 以 10.1590 前缀登记，刊物最初的线上生命因此落在拉丁美洲的这个平台上。

• One report earlier the title had reached the first quartile at 78 of 332, before the category widened to 336 and the rank settled back to 94.再往前一份报告曾把刊物送进 Q1 区，在 332 种刊物中列第 78 位，类目随后扩到 336 种，位次落回第 94。

• Impact factors over four years read 2.898, 2.2, 2.4 and 2.4, a plateau after the 2022 peak rather than a slide in standing.四年的影响因子依次为 2.898，2.2，2.4 与 2.4，2022 年的高点之后走成平台，没有继续下滑。

Editors

• José Maria Soares-Jr. of the University of São Paulo is Editor-in-Chief, and his listed fields run through obstetrics, gynaecological pharmacology, endocrinology, the climacteric and polycystic ovary syndrome.主编（José Maria Soares-Jr.）来自圣保罗大学，登记方向包括产科学与妇科药理学，也有内分泌学与更年期问题，多囊卵巢综合征在其列。^[1]

• Fauze Maluf-Filho, also of the São Paulo faculty, is Associate Editor for gastroenterology and endoscopy, and Kavita Kirankumar Patel Rolim serves as Executive Editor.副编辑（Fauze Maluf-Filho）同样出自圣保罗大学医学院，负责胃肠病学与内镜方向，执行编辑为（Kavita Kirankumar Patel Rolim）。

• Soares-Jr. has signed the journal's strategy editorials since 2022, when one of them argued for a wider international representation of the title.（José Maria Soares-Jr.）自 2022 年起为刊物的战略社论署名，其中一篇力主扩大刊物的国际代表性。^[2]

• Both editors hold posts at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, the body that owns the journal, and the desk therefore sits inside the institution it serves.两位编辑都任职于圣保罗大学医学院，也就是刊物的主办方，编辑桌因此设在自己服务的机构里。
