The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is a public engineering and technological research university in Raozan, Chittagong District, Bangladesh, founded in 1968 as the Chittagong Engineering College and elevated to full university status on 1 September 2003.吉大港工程与技术大学（Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology，简称 CUET）是孟加拉国吉大港县拉奥坚的一所公立工程与技术研究型大学，1968 年以吉大港工程学院之名创办，2003 年 9 月 1 日升格为完全自治的公立大学。

It is a state-funded institution organised into five faculties and fifteen departments that teaches more than 4,500 students on a campus of about 171 acres beside the Chittagong-Kaptai highway, some 25 kilometres from Chittagong, the country's main seaport and second largest city.学校是政府资助的公立大学，设 5 个学部、15 个系，在校生 4,500 余人，校园位于吉大港—卡普泰公路旁，占地约 171 英亩，距孟加拉国主要海港、第二大城市吉大港市区约 25 公里。

History

• To meet the growing national demand for professional engineers, the National Economic Council of the Government of Pakistan decided on 28 August 1962 to establish the Engineering College, Chittagong.为满足国家对专业工程师日益增长的需求，巴基斯坦政府国家经济委员会于 1962 年 8 月 28 日决定设立吉大港工程学院。

• The college started functioning on 28 December 1968, admitting 120 students in its first academic session under the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Chittagong.学院于 1968 年 12 月 28 日开始办学，首届即招收 120 名学生，隶属于吉大港大学工学部。

• From 1968 to 1986 the college operated as a constituent college of the University of Chittagong, and it should not be confused with the University of Chittagong itself or with the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong.1968 年至 1986 年间，学院作为吉大港大学的组成学院运行，该校与吉大港大学（University of Chittagong）及吉大港科技大学（University of Science and Technology in Chittagong）均非同一所学校。

• CUET is situated in the Pahartali union under Raozan upazila in Chittagong District, on the north side of the Chittagong-Kaptai highway, about 25 kilometres from the centre of Chittagong, whose official English name was changed to Chattogram in 2018.学校位于吉大港县拉奥坚乡（Raozan Upazila）帕哈尔塔利（Pahartali）联合村，地处吉大港—卡普泰公路北侧，距吉大港市区约 25 公里，吉大港的官方英文名于 2018 年改为 Chattogram。
