Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines is a monthly journal founded in May 2003 by China Pharmaceutical University and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association and published by Elsevier, covering natural products and traditional Chinese medicines, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 7.5《中国天然药物》（Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines）是（China Pharmaceutical University）与（Chinese Pharmaceutical Association）于 2003 年 5 月创办的月刊，由（Elsevier）出版，刊载天然产物与中药研究，2025 年影响因子为 7.5。

Scope

• Resources of traditional Chinese medicines are treated as a research field in their own right, from medicinal plants and animal or mineral drugs to identification, cultivation and quality evaluation中药资源被当作独立研究领域，从药用植物、动物药与矿物药，到鉴定、栽培与质量评价。
• The interaction and complexity of prescriptions are studied at the level of multi-component compatibility and the fate of formulae in the body复方的相互作用与复杂性在配伍规律与体内过程层面加以研究，强调多成分协同。
• Natural products chemistry covers structure modification, semi-synthesis and total synthesis, and biotransformation of bioactive compounds天然产物化学覆盖结构修饰、半合成与全合成，以及活性成分的生物转化。
• Pharmacology of natural products and prescriptions includes pharmacokinetics and toxicology, with attention to dose and exposure relationships天然产物与复方的药理学包含药代动力学与毒理学，并关注剂量与暴露关系。
• Pharmaceutics and analytical methods address formulation technology, quality control and chromatographic or spectroscopic fingerprints药剂学与分析方法方向涉及制剂技术、质量控制，以及色谱与光谱指纹图谱。
• Lead compounds and medicines derived from traditional Chinese medicines form the applied end of the scope, linking discovery to development源自中药的先导化合物与药物构成范围的应用端，把发现与开发连接起来。

History

• The journal was founded and sponsored in May 2003 by China Pharmaceutical University and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, with its editorial office on the university campus in Nanjing该刊于 2003 年 5 月由（China Pharmaceutical University）与（Chinese Pharmaceutical Association）创办并主办，编辑部设于南京的校方。
• It is published by Elsevier, while manuscripts are handled through ScholarOne or the editorial office mailbox, so peer review stays with the in-house editors期刊由（Elsevier）出版，稿件经（ScholarOne）系统或编辑部邮箱提交，评审由编辑部自主组织。

• The journal has kept modernisation of Chinese medicines and discovery of natural product drugs as its twin editorial lines, spanning resources, chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics期刊长期以中药现代化与天然产物创新药物发现为两条主线，贯通资源、化学、药理与制剂。

Editors

• The editor-in-chief is Ling-Yi Kong of China Pharmaceutical University, whose work centres on bioactive constituents of medicinal plants and their structural modification主编为（Ling-Yi Kong），任职于（China Pharmaceutical University），研究集中于药用植物活性成分及其结构修饰。
• Five associate editors-in-chief serve the journal, among them Rudolf Bauer of Graz, Geoffrey A. Cordell, De-An Guo, Chun-fu Wu and Bao-Quan Zhu期刊设五位副主编，包括（Rudolf Bauer）、（Geoffrey A. Cordell）、（De-An Guo）、（Chun-fu Wu）与（Bao-Quan Zhu）。
