Chinese Journal of Chemistry

Chinese Journal of Chemistry is an English-language journal covering all fields of chemistry, founded in 1983 as the Acta Chimica Sinica English Edition and renamed in 1990, co-hosted by the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Chemical Society, jointly published with Wiley-VCH since 2005, now appearing twenty-four times a year, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 5.7.《中国化学》（Chinese Journal of Chemistry）是一本覆盖化学全领域的英文期刊，1983 年以《化学学报》英文版创刊，1990 年改用现名，由（Chinese Academy of Sciences）上海有机化学研究所与（Chinese Chemical Society）共同主办，2005 年起与（Wiley-VCH）联合出版，现每年出版 24 期，2025 年期刊影响因子为 5.7。

Scope

• The journal positions itself as an international forum for peer-reviewed original research results in all fields of chemistry, spanning physical, inorganic, organic and analytical chemistry.刊物定位为化学全领域原创研究成果的国际论坛，涵盖物理化学、无机化学、有机化学与分析化学。
• Original work appears as Breaking Reports, Concise Reports and Comprehensive Reports, while review formats cover Recent Advances, Critical Reviews, Chemistry Authors Up Close, Cornerstones in Chemistry and Emerging Topic.原创成果以（Breaking Reports）、（Concise Reports）与（Comprehensive Reports）发表，综述类包括（Recent Advances）、（Critical Reviews）、（Chemistry Authors Up Close）、（Cornerstones in Chemistry）与（Emerging Topic）。
• Since 2024 all research and review articles follow the Who is Who writing style, which highlights the key players and their contributions in each field.2024 年起全部研究论文与综述采用（Who is Who）写作体例，突出领域内关键人物及其贡献。
• Contributions are judged on originality, quality and novelty, and every submission must follow the Ethical Guidelines for Publication of Chemical Research.论文以原创性、质量与新颖性为取舍标准，所有投稿须遵守化学研究出版伦理准则。
• All manuscripts suitable for consideration are sent to independent referees, authors may suggest reviewers, and clearly unsuitable papers are rejected without refereeing.凡适合送审的稿件均送独立审稿人评审，作者可推荐审稿人，明显不适宜的稿件可不经评审直接退稿。
• The title is indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts Service, the Chinese Science Citation Database and the Chinese S&T journals citation database.刊物被（SCIE）、（Scopus）、（CAS）、中国科学引文数据库与中国科技论文与引文数据库收录。
• There is no submission fee or page charge on the traditional route, print colour figures are charged at 1,500 yuan each with possible waivers, and an open-access route is offered.传统路径不收审稿费与版面费，印刷彩图每幅收 1,500 元、困难可减免，另设开放获取路径。

History

• The journal was founded in 1983 under the name Acta Chimica Sinica English Edition, initially carrying English translations of selected papers from the Chinese edition.本刊 1983 年创刊，初名（Acta Chimica Sinica English Edition），早期刊登《化学学报》中文版部分论文的英译。
• From 1989 the contents no longer duplicated the Chinese edition, and in 1990 the title was changed to Chinese Journal of Chemistry and published independently.1989 年起内容不再与中文版重复，1990 年更名为（Chinese Journal of Chemistry）并独立发行。
• The journal is hosted by the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry and the Chinese Chemical Society, administrated by the China Association for Science and Technology and supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.刊物由上海有机化学研究所与（Chinese Chemical Society）主办，（China Association for Science and Technology）主管，（National Natural Science Foundation of China）资助。
• In 2000 the journal received the Chinese National Award for Journals, and since 2005 it has been jointly published with Wiley-VCH of Weinheim, Germany.2000 年获首届国家期刊奖，2005 年起与德国（Wiley-VCH）联合出版。
• Publication moved from a monthly schedule to the current twenty-four issues a year, issued on the first and fifteenth of each month.刊期由每年 12 期的月刊扩至每年 24 期，每月 1 日与 15 日出版。
• A comprehensive redesign came in 2018, the Best Paper Award of Chinese Journal of Chemistry was established in 2021, and the Who is Who style was rolled out fully in 2024.2018 年实行全面改版，2021 年设立（Best Paper Award），2024 年全面推行（Who is Who）体例。

• Shengming Ma of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Zhejiang University and Fudan University serves as editor-in-chief.上海有机化学研究所、（Zhejiang University）与（Fudan University）的（Shengming Ma）任主编。
